Word Hunt

Highlight the words you’re learning in YouTube subtitles and find the best videos by word density. Even with a huge list, matching stays fast.

Word Hunt automatically highlights the words you’re learning in YouTube subtitles and helps you find videos that contain them. You meet those words again and again in real context—and remember them better.

Its biggest strength is matching a large vocabulary at once. Even if you import hundreds or thousands of new words, it quickly finds videos with the highest density of your targets. You spend the least time and meet the most words you’re studying.

Before you start

Video search currently supports YouTube only. Install one of these bilingual subtitle tools first:

  • A YouTube bilingual subtitle extension
  • RikoSub (a subtitle extension that supports YouTube)

You can pick words from the built-in English dictionaries—for example lists for various English exams—or build your own vocabulary from scratch. Phrase search is supported too.
